I've written hundreds of columns, articles, and stories on a wide variety of subjects for magazines, newspapers, and books. I began writing when I was in fourth grade and my teacher loved my autobiography. My experience as a public school teacher, principal, and curriculum coordinator serves me well in my current occupation as freelance writer. I've produced curriculum materials for numerous educational publishing companies. These materials included lessons, reading passages, questions, and explanations for the answers to questions. I have a novel based on a true story titled Real Principals Have No Class. It's about a teaching principal and her staff and parents who not only managed to save an old Florida school, but managed to get it accredited by a major accreditation board. My work has appeared here;

  • Northwest Florida Daily News
  • The Seaside Times
  • Graytonbeach.com
  • FACES Magazine
  • Grit Magazine
  • Florida Wildlife Magazine
  • The DeFuniak Herald-Breeze
  • Weekly column for the DestinEast edition of the Northwest Florida Daily News
  • Staff writer for Emerald Ladies' Journal
  • Points North Magazine
  • Emerald Ladies' Journal
  • Served on the Editorial Board and contributed to Of Days Gone By: Recollections of South Walton County, Florida

I live in historic Grayton Beach in Florida's panhandle. My passion is travel, and I've traveled widely in my own state and in most U.S. states. I've visited countries in the Caribbean and most European countries.
